A 5" x 7" canvas airbrushed with Musou black paint, which absorbs 99.4% of visible light, creating a depthless and surreal void out of reality itself. This is the perfect party trick and a (literally) timeless decoration for your living space. 

It can also act as a dehumidifier for light, noticeably lowering the light level of a room and providing rest for your eyes when looked at, by reflecting few to no photons at your pupils.

Please note that the human eye can still detect the 0.6% of light which is reflected by the Musou paint and so the void effect is only completely black in dimly lit conditions, such as in the evening and in the dark corners of rooms. All photos of the Void have been adjusted to reflect the product in such conditions.

What is this?

The Void is a canvas painted with Musou black paint, which is even darker than Vanta Black, the original super-black which you may have seen online. By airbrushing the paint onto the canvas in many light layers, a 'forest' of light-absorbent particles is created, which traps photons and prevents them from reflecting to your eyes.

Please note that the human eye can still detect the 0.6% of light which is reflected by the Musou paint and so the void effect is only completely black in dimly lit conditions, such as in the evening and in the dark corners of rooms. All photos of the Void have been adjusted to reflect the product in such conditions.

How durable is the Void?

Musou black paint is quite fragile as a material but it will endure as long as it is handled with care. Void is packaged in a rigid box with premium foam so it will arrive to you in an immaculate condition. However, I recommend that you store it in the original box or in a safe and undisturbed place, such as on a shelf.

When will I receive my order?

As this is a brand new product, I am offering pre-orders to quantify demand before I buy more packaging and canvases. However, these are delivered quickly to me and I have plenty of paint so I will be able to make and deliver your Void within 30 days of purchase.

Do you offer different sizes?

I am only offering the Void in this size right now but I can easily make an A4-sized void. If this interests you, please let me know.
